PHOENIX (August 14, 2026) – Arizonans showed up in a big way this June as family-owned Barro’s Pizza and Pepsi raised $67,924 for Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children (ACFC), surpassing this year’s fundraising goal through the restaurant’s annual monthlong lunch special campaign.
Now in its 11th year, Barro’s Pizza’s annual fundraiser invited customers to support Arizona families facing childhood cancer simply by ordering a lunch special during the month of June. This year’s campaign exceeded last year’s total of $58,200, bringing the partnership’s overall fundraising impact to $437,000 since it started.
Bruce Barro, Bostyn Barro and Andy Wilson from Barro’s Pizza presented a ceremonial check to ACFC on Aug. 3 in celebration of the campaign and the community’s continued support of the organization’s mission.
“It’s amazing to see our customers continue showing up for this cause year after year,” said Bruce Barro, co-owner of Barro’s Pizza. “What starts with something as simple as lunch becomes real support for Arizona families facing childhood cancer, and we’re proud to continue partnering with ACFC to help make that possible.”
Founded in 2014 by Chrisie Abramo after losing her daughter, Ava, to cancer, ACFC has since supported more than 10,000 Arizona families by offering financial assistance, emotional support and family-centered resources that help ease the challenges of childhood cancer.
“Barro’s Pizza has been an incredible partner to Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, and we’re so grateful for their continued commitment to the families we serve,” said Chrisie Abramo, founder and president of ACFC. “Because of Barro’s, Pepsi and the generosity of their customers, more Arizona families can access the support and resources they need throughout their childhood cancer journey. This partnership continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve.”
